Sustainability Practices - Protecting Our Land

At Banjo Swagger we will always choose organic and natural products that are sustainable and environmentally friendly which are in the best interests of our planet.

We are not just mindful in our business we are like this in our daily lives. It might take some extra time to recycle and be mindful about products we produce and consume but it is well worth it.

Australian Merino Wool

We decided to commence our business with Australian Wool products as Wool has reputable environmental credentials including a long-life span, durability, is sustainable, and biodegrades on land and in water and does not contribute to microplastic pollution. Wool felt is a by-product of the fashion industry.

A by-product is an incidental or secondary product made in the manufacture or synthesis of something else. For example "zinc is a by-product of the glazing process"

Raffia Straw

We aim to use raffia straw as it is natural sustainable product, essentially is also a by-product of the food industry. One of the many benefits of straw, like any organic material it is environmentally benign and it sequesters carbon. When braided it provides high UPF 50+ sun protection

To go further, we aim to ensure our packaging is recyclable or can be reused.

We promise to give a percentage of our profits back to organisations that are working to improve our natural environment. If you love a company working to improve our oceans and lands then please get in touch with us to let us know for our future campaigns.

We love the vast landscapes of Australia and want to preserve its beauty.

We are proudly an Australian owned family business.
